Doula Services
Congratulations on the upcoming birth of your baby! As your Labor Doula, I am here as your birth companion. I have formal training and certification in labor and birth support. I will provide unbiased, compassionate, evidence-based emotional and physical support throughout the labor process. As your doula, I am not part of your medical team; I am part of your support team. It is an honor to walk beside you on this journey!
During labor, I will always be near by to provide comfort and support with pain relief techniques like breathing, massage, relaxation, and emotional and verbal support. The doula’s role is not to take the place of the pregnant person’s partner, but to complement and enhance the experience for both people. It is an intimate moment that should be shared with both parents.
Studies have shown that having a doula as a member of the birth team decreases the overall cesarean rate by 50%, the length of labor by 25%, the use of oxytocin by 40%, and requests for an epidural by 60%.
